Source: Ukraine suggests Turkey resume grain deal without Russia

ANKARA, Jul 18 (PRIME) -- Turkey has received an application from Ukraine to resume the Black Sea Grain Initiative without Russia's participation, a source with knowledge of the situation told PRIME on Tuesday.

"Yes, we have received such an application, the U. N. representatives contacted us on the matter. There is coordination with them, but no decisions have been made so far," the source said.

"Our president announced yesterday the coming negotiations with the Russian counterpart, this is why the president will make all decisions here in accordance with the discussion."

Turkey will continue dialogue with the Western partners to remove restrictions on exports of Russian food, the source said.
